Samol is a corroborant based on a mixture of potassium salts of long chain fatty acids, obtained from the saponification of natural vegetable oils. The product is able to dissolve and remove the honeydew and the sooty mold caused by cochineals, aphids, whiteflies and psylloidea. Honeydew is a source of nourishment for harmful insects and acts as a substrate for the development of dark moulds (sooty mold) that cause the reduction of photosynthesis and the decay of plants. In addition to this indirect action, Samol is able to suffocate the airways of these insects and encourage dehydration with low humidity. The completely natural action and the absence of dangerous substances makes this product safe for use on edible fruits until the very day of harvesting. Finally, Samol has an adhesive and surfactant activity, by enhancing the contact and systemic action of the technical means with which it is mixed.
