Aureon is a product formulated with Aureobasidium pullulans, a ubiquitous microscopic fungus with an active action on soil, providing protective and healing effects on plant surfaces, helping the recovery of wounds on leaves and fruits. Aureon is able to deprive pathogens of essential nutrients and colonize the micro-lesions of fruits, creating a natural shield. Such microorganism is active even at low temperatures (3-4°C). Its protective action can promote the growth of cutinase, an enzyme degrading cutin (a chemical component of cells wall), stimulating the production of phytoalexins and activating self-defence mechanisms.
